Newport Beach Laser Hair Removal - Orange County Laser Hair Removal

Lasers will reduce the amount of hair growth by a process called selective photothermolysis. The laser is effective on follicles in the active growth phase (anagen). Since all hair is not in the active growth phase at any one time, repeated treatments are required at 4 to 6 week intervals. Five to eight treatments are usually required to achieve a 50 to 60 percent reduction.

Dr. Grover utilizes the Aurora laser by Syneron which attacks hair follicles with intense pulse light as well as with radiofrequency. Patients with blond, grey and red hairs may also be treated.

Most skin types may be treated; however, it is best to avoid sun exposure before and after the treatments.

The treatments may take 5 to 45 minutes depending on the body area treated. Topical anesthetics are not usually required.
